Point One - You Need Help
You're not seriously in business if you are not keeping track of your financial records. Checking your bank balance and sending off your invoices haphazardly is not letting you know where you really stand. Your financial statements are your best friend. They either tell you good news, or they tell you where you need to make changes so you stay in business. HandShake can do that for you and help you make decisions about your future. We're the help you've been looking for.
Point Two - You have a confidante you can call anytime
No man or woman is an island. You need to befriend your financial picture and make it a part of your life. We are your part time assistant, keeping your books in order, yet available to you at anytime when issues arise. You need a business partner, and HandShake can be that for you.
Point Three - Be prepared and enjoy more success
Time is money. When a big job comes along, you need to be ready. Do you need a line of credit to start the project? How will your banker give you that if you have no financial statements? Be ready for success by having your books current at all times.
Point Four - We're affordable
It doesn't take as long as you think to keep you current. We're quick and efficient. Many small businesses say they can get cheaper rates than ours, but that's because you're getting clerks not full charge bookkeepers. Maybe you only need 4 hours every quarter, or four hours a month. That's $280. Many clients need us twice a month at 7-8 hours each, about $560 a month. Weekly clients run about $1200 a month. And we're contractors, so no workers comp, benefits or payroll taxes. Learning to delegate is key to business success.
"Yvonne has been our go to for setting up our books for both Accounting Edge (MYOB) and QuickBooks. She understands our business operations, is accommodating to our varied levels of experience and knowledge, and makes working together pain (and worry) free. It's great to call or email her with a quick question, have her on-site one or two days in the trenches, or help wrap up year-end. Everybody sleeps better at night."

"Once a month Bethany comes to my office and invoices my cleints and reconciles my bank statements. She also files the insurance claims, she keeps me motivated, organized and offers advise on how to make my business run better."

"Bette has worked for me for over 15 years and manages our personal books as well as our rental properties. Whenever I call for help or assistance she responds immediately and gives me the answer I need. She picks up our books and brings them back once a month, as well as works on/reviews financial reports and budgets every quarter. She is very dependable and strives for clarity."

"My former bookkeeper wasn't paying my bills on time and I found my credit rating had suffered. For over a decade Yvonne has kept me current, raised my credit rating so I could finance a luxury car, pays a little more on every mortgage to get me out of debt sooner, and also manages the income and expenses for my rental properties. She will take good care of you."

"Bethany has worked for me for over 10 years. She has done my practice accounting, my property management accounting, my personal bookkeeping and handled all the paperwork for closing my step fathers estate and taking care of the bill paying for my mother who is in a nursing home. She also works with my CPA for tax return preparation. I highly recommend her. She does it all."
